Setting up an email autoresponder is a straightforward process. Click To Tweet

Decide on which autoresponder you wish to use in your business.

If you are a blogger you can use ConvertKit, I personally use ConvertKit. I recommend Aweber for those starting out, as it integrates with most services and Aweber do not have any issues with affiliate marketing. If you require more automation and/or running a different type of business I recommend Active Campaign.

Once you have selected an email autoresponder to use, then follow the following steps.

Create A New Form

First, you need to create a form to embed it in your blog or use as a stand-alone landing page. Creating a form or a landing page is ConvertKit is easy.

Adding A Followup Series or Sequences

An email followup series or a sequence are set of emails which will be sent in a sequence to people who sign up through your opt-in forms.

Create a New Automation

Automation is a great way to automate sending of emails, adding tags and segmenting your email subscribers.

You can get all of the above steps for Aweber and Active Campaign in a checklist form in newbie marketers checklists.
